On Cinco De Mayo(Saturday May 5) the second annual Caribbean Beat: A Benefit for Haiti will be held to celebrate Caribbean culture through music, food, drink, and dance.

The event will feature Oral Fuentes Reggae Band, an energetic nine piece band from Saskatoon and Kahmaria Pingue and the African Princess Dance Troupe. A local art auction featuring unique pieces from around Saskatchewan will also take place.

All proceeds of the event to go the Haitian Education Initiatives, a registered non-profit that helps educate and support children in Haiti.

The event is to be held at the German Cultural Centre with doors open at 8:00pm.
